    That was definitely silly. I just wish horrid singing stopped ruining funny videos for me ;~;

Scientists love to be silly occasionally :p

I would agree. Hell, people put far less effort into a car than they did and people name their cars all the time. That being said, they're scientists which may make emotional attachment like that to an inanimate object seem silly to them.

My developed heuristics seem to have developed associations between academia and male. And I associate curiosity with academia. As such, I misogynistically view the robot as male.

Things are amazing on my end. Nice sunny weather, good temperature and plenty of nuts, because everybody loves nuts.

Greets old friend, it's been a while. How've you been lately?
Hopefully things are great and you're doing fine.
Yep, I'm having one of those lonely times again.

We actually have a lot of prevalent types of liquorice - mostly distinguished by being either sweet or salty, so I guess we do. A lot of our liquorice is salty by standard, but I never get sick of them :<

My homemade liquorice is especially salty. hurrrr

I guess there's advantages, but the government isn't only doing it for supermarkets, but also for things like transport, willing to pay competing companies to keep the competition up. And I miss my Pepper. :(

Hah, vegemite is pretty distinctive indeed. ^^ I guess it's got a taste you've got to get used to, like the liquorice candy we have around here

    that sounds very possible

We don't get a lot of things here, such as Doctor Pepper and Skittles as well - although we do sometimes find imports of such goods in supermarkets (which are controlled by national corporations rather than international in order to keep competition in the market) and in the very few international food shops.

Do you know if marmite is like vegemite? I've tried vegemite in Australia, and it was, the least to say, an interesting experience. ^^

I don't see it anywhere. Not sure if it's strictly banned, though.

Making it big.

No not really:

A while ago I was introduced to a newly developed website that was being prepared to facilitate exposure for young artists and the like in and around Surrey.

I was expected to review and criticise the website's first iterations and submit content in order to help develop it and get some publicity in the process...unfortunately the website turned out to be a brainless and disordered catastrophe mostly consisting of tiles of content stolen from other websites

On the subject of april fool's

...which I believe is tomorrow [correct me I am wrong].

Please remember that the whim of newly christianised tribes to persecute celtic druids for relying on a different calender by which to regulate crop rotation etc, provides justification for jokes!

Unless you poke fun at one another tomorrow ancient european christians bullied infidels for nothing.

Ads

by Rammjet on 2nd March 2013 at 04:21 PM
An advert banner just tried to intice me to click it by claiming '3 people have unfriended you, click to find out who!,'

The 'you have a notification' banners are already fraudulently misrepresentative, but this is just rather...cruel and manipulative.

Well, at least it's better than all the weird 'v14gra' emails I get sent [seriously, how do these people get your email in the first place anyway?]
