Day two of the most important meet of the season for my team.
We are at our school and it is cold and rainy like yesterday. Then when we get to the meet, the rain stops. It was cold at first, but it then warmed up. It stayed dry and slightly warm for the rest of the day.
My event was the 800m and I thought I did well. I knew I was not going to place, so I tried for a new personal record. My original PR was 2:31. After the race, my PR became 2:26. I improved
Today starts day one of the state sectionals for my track team, which is our most important meet as a team. Let me start off and say the day was miserable.
It was fairly cold the whole day and later in the day, it satarted to rain. It was steady rain.
We are on the bus before we leave and two of our best boys runners are not on the bus. They did not show up so our coach left without them. Luckily, their parents drove them down to the meet and got to the track before
Charlie Day loves to support local bands at a library.
The story is that I went to a concert of local bands at my library last night. The guy working there looked a lot like Charlie Day and did a lot of Charlie Work. If you did not know, Charlie Day plays Charlie Kelly in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". Charlie Work is also a reference to the show.
I now see no use for one since people do not want to keep sports threads active. Then when they do get bumped (for a good reason), they just die with that last post. I also do not see some people who petitioned very hard for this idea, but never followed through.
At track I asked a senior if they played the song "Forever Young" at his prom, since senior prom was last Thursday. This kid chimes in, "Oh yeah, that is a great song by Jay-Z." I was disappointed. I then listened to the song later and it started off okay, but when Jay-Z started singing, I was in utter disgust. H talks about looking at attractive women with those "Pretty a**es all up on the hood," getting high, and drinking. Yeah... Also, the original version
