Today starts day one of the state sectionals for my track team, which is our most important meet as a team. Let me start off and say the day was miserable.
It was fairly cold the whole day and later in the day, it satarted to rain. It was steady rain.
We are on the bus before we leave and two of our best boys runners are not on the bus. They did not show up so our coach left without them. Luckily, their parents drove them down to the meet and got to the track before
Charlie Day loves to support local bands at a library.
The story is that I went to a concert of local bands at my library last night. The guy working there looked a lot like Charlie Day and did a lot of Charlie Work. If you did not know, Charlie Day plays Charlie Kelly in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". Charlie Work is also a reference to the show.

At track I asked a senior if they played the song "Forever Young" at his prom, since senior prom was last Thursday. This kid chimes in, "Oh yeah, that is a great song by Jay-Z." I was disappointed. I then listened to the song later and it started off okay, but when Jay-Z started singing, I was in utter disgust. H talks about looking at attractive women with those "Pretty a**es all up on the hood," getting high, and drinking. Yeah... Also, the original version
The team is now heading into the postseason. Our first meet is Saturday and we have two other non-invitational meets left. After those there are invitational meets for exceptional runners. If I remember, the biggest meet for the team is on the 24th and that is the State Sectional. The good thing is that we somehow have largest roster in the section that we are placed in. So, more people for more events. My events will probably be the 1600m and 800m.
Here are the problems:
