I know for a fact that DICE canada was shut down immediatly after being bought by EA:

"Digital Illusions CE was renamed EA Digital Illusions CE,[5] and CEO Patrick Söderlund became an EA Studio General Manager.[6] DICE Canada, which at the time was being run by DICE co-founder Fredrik Liliegren, was closed down immediately upon acquisition.[7]"

I only know this because I used to go on the BF forums and they were always complaining about it because DICE canada helped make BF2.
