My boyfriend had a girl attempt to rape him.
This girl did not get in trouble for what she has done at all.
Her parents don't care, and his parents don't care. This girl is still allowed in their home and today she kissed him without his consent. This girl knows he is already in a relationship and does not seem to care.
Now the question on my mind is...

WHY. WHY DO HIS PARENTS NOT CARE THAT THEIR SON WAS ALMOST RAPED?
WHY DOES IT SEEM LIKE NOBODY CARES?
I am sickened when this happens to anybody, but for this to happen to my own boyfriend, to the person I love... I AM ****ING OUTRAGED.
**** his parents for being supporters of rape culture, **** that girl's parents for being failures, just... god dammit. I cannot deal with this shit right now.

    If I could do that, I would.
    But right now I'm convincing him to file charges, he hasn't done it yet because his family just doesn't care about him almost being raped, but I'm telling him information that might sway their opinions.
    You know, information about the fact that if he wanted to, he could go to child protective services and get his parents in deep shit for this.

    Not for nothing but it would be very difficult for the police to take this remotely seriously.

    I kinda had the same thoughts. There's a difference between rape and letting someone do it. Surely your boyfrind would be capable of stopping her from doing it if he wanted to.

    Yeah... typically rape involves physically overpowering someone and a girl doing that do a guy just isn't something that legitimately happens often.

    While this is sadly true, either way it will be on her record, and if it happens again they may be able to establish a pattern.

    Some people just assume that only boys can rape.... That's one reason...

    Also, some parents are quite ignorant because they believe that their "precious child" would never do such a horrible thing...

    It's not that, they don't deny that their child did it. They just don't care.
    They are, honest to God, failures as parents.

    Him hitting her does not make her stop. He has hit her to prevent her from doing things he was not okay with before, and she ended up just doing it again later.

    I hope he does too, but at this point his parents are saying they're just going to "talk to this girl's parents" even though they've known for ages.

    If this was my child telling me some girl tried to rape him, I would have asked him to explain and then called the police almost instantly.

    I wonder how many people wouldn't notice how discriminatory disregarding a guy's rape report (just because he's a guy) is.
