I went to London today to visit the Royal Academy's summer exhibition, which I'll be writing a report on for college some time. ^^
The summer exhibition was wonderful and features a wide array of genres and painting techniques as well as photography and sculpture that was mostly submitted by members of the public, one of the biggest of such exhibitions. The work was carefuly arranged into rooms of similar theme and content but the main emphasis of the exhibition was a very large grey room with an undulating wave of many hundreds small-scale paintings.
Great exhibition, it was even bigger than some city's permanent galleries. If you live near London go visit it, it should cost you about £4 if you're 12-18 and £10 if you're 19 or over.
