Apparently, New Super Mario Bros. 2 only has 6 worlds
Just take that in for a second
6 worlds
Plus, there are 3 reasons EarthBound isn't on Virtual Console
1. There's a song that plays during a cutscene that sounds too much like a song by The Who
2. There's another song that sounds like a song by Chuck Berry
3. There's an enemy called Dali's Clock
So they could easily replace the song that sounds like Chuck Berry with another battle theme (since it plays during a boss battle) and renaming the Dali's Clock enemy would be easy
so really it's just that one other song that needs some attention
people have been begging Nintendo to put this game on Virtual Console, and it would only take them 15 minutes to change that shit
and they would make a lot of money
but no, they're too ****ing lazy

    Maybe copyright purposes? And the games are normally from Japan so maybe the Japanese audiences do not agree?

    A lot of people think it's copyright purposes but I think I saw somewhere that that's not a huge issue
    and I don't think the japanese audiences would disagree, the series is pretty popular over there

    But I mean. Is that music that appeals to those audiences? And nintendo rarely has singing/lyrics in songs. Most of the time it is just opera singing if any. I could see play station doing that though.

    Oh, I don't think the audience cares about what the music is inspired by
    besides, even if they did, EarthBound has music for everybody
    seriously, there's like 30 different genres in that game
    And there isn't any singing, they just sound a lot like those songs

    Maybe you can convince them if you do another Operation Rainfall or something for Earthbound. I'm pretty sure there are some petitions out there, just not as popular as Rainfall itself.

    Maybe each world has more levels than other Mario games. I think it's a cool idea to base a Mario game on coins if you ask me..and I heard the coins are cumalative, which is nice. That's just my opinion though.
