I live in Scotland (Britain), here we can take Driving Lessons/Driving test/Drive at my age (17).
Firstly, we get a Provisional License, so we can legally take driving lessons, then we're taught everything we need to know by a driving instructor, well, however much you can afford, lessons aren't cheap, then we take a practical test with an examiner and a theory test.
The theory requires you to know the ins and outs of driving, I have tonnes of shit to read about ****ing roads and shit, and if you make an amateur mistake in your real test, you're ****ed, and you've got to pay to take the test again.
People can take the test dozens of times before they pass and get their real drivers license.

And that's why I'm surprised that you lot can drive at 15, call the test "easy" and drive without much experience (at least, that's what I assume Fly meant by, "I'm still bad at driving").

I'm just stunned.. Really.. I know you lot drive early in America but.. 15.. Man oh man.

Okay so here I took the Drivers class which is a required 30 hours of class time. Then you take a written test. After that you can drive with an adult. You have to be at least 15 to get this far. Then you have to wait 6 months or until your 16 to take the road test. Once you take that you are free to drive alone. The reason I said I am bad at driving is I have only driven a car once. Never before today. I am still getting used to it, I wouldn't say I am terrible, but I am not used to it.

I was a natural at driving when I first did it. I only go driving once a week - every sunday at 7:00 AM - for two hours per week.

Yea, I will drive for a while with my parents and then I will start driving an hour at a time with my instructor until I take the road test. Required 10 hours with an instructor and 30 with an adult before you can take the road test at 16.

I am 16 and I have to be 18 to drive
