New health interests

I've had some concerns about my physical state for a while now, and I've decided it's time to get off my ass and do something about it. I've tried a few weak diets and little exercises, but I've never been able to stick with it. I'm not seriously obese or anything, but it's pretty clear that I'm out of shape. I'm not as active as other kids, and I could probably make some better food choices. So this blog is hopefully a reference for me to look back on.
My plan this time is to just stay off the computer and the TV over the summer. Not entirely, but I need some other stuff in my life. Besides, it's getting old. I heard about a few programs that should help me get fit. There's a whole series of them, and there are subreddits for each of them. Here's one of them, called "100 pushups":
Along with 200 situps, C25K, and more. I'm trying to do them all together. I'll be posting blogs now and then to update you all on my progress (including myself).
I'm starting officially next week. I'm also looking for some weight training programs, so if anybody has some simple exercises you can do at home, I'd be grateful if you'd share. Also, I'd strongly encourage anyone else to give these programs a shot. From what I've heard it's actually pretty fun, and you'll feel great.
