Rammjet

Early this morning, in the small hours, I was gazing out of my bedroom window into the mottled blue sky and the dull glimmers of stars spread across it.

Before long I noticed fainter stars, barely visible and then saw one of the stars moving, a dim red star tracing a clean arc over the sky. More appeared as time went on, one of them appearing to glint slowly and periodically as it passed over incident angles.

They were satellites, orbing over the earth and reflecting the sun light beyond the horizon.
I also saw a very clean white trace of a meteor, as it sketched a trail in the heavens.
