Can anybody help me?

Yesterday in MST, I've just downloaded a Nintendo 64 emulator with a few ROMs. The ROMs that I've gotten and tried so far were:

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Pokemon Snap
Paper Mario

After playing some of these games, there was one problem. It's kinda glitchy with the graphics and all that. For example, with Pokemon Snap, it didn't show me an introduction on how to takes some pictures. The red thing in the middle also didn't show up as well as the name of the Pokemon in the middle (Yes, the Pokemon is in the middle of the picture.). What's worse is not only the fact that I can't see the picture (is also glicty), but when I went to the Pokemon Album, it just froze and it won't take me to the screen.

Now, there are some other things that are glichy in other games, like the black screen flashes with Paper Mario, or when the health or ability won't change in Kirby 64. Is it because I need to upgrade something or get a different emulator (the one that I got btw is Project 64 v. 1.6.)? In fact, what should I do?

Pokemon Snap was glitchy for me too. I have no idea why.
@other games - try to change graphic settings. I'll search for solution, brb.

You may want to try a different emulator, certain emulators will work for certain games, and others for others. Did you go to coolrom.com? They have several different emulators there. You could also try adjusting some graphic-related things, such as screen resolution and ect.

I have to say that emulators are usually glitchy in general, especially with 3d polygonal games. I had a Goldeneye 007 ROM that would just freeze whenever it felt like it, and my SSB ROM doesn't show some of the flat, 2d objects, and is slow on the "Select a Character" screen. I changed emulators, and it glitched in different areas.
