Baby bird

A baby blue tit fell out of the oak tree outside my house today, here are some photos of it:





The chick is just about able to fly short distances, so I think it was fledging. Shortly after a second chick fluttered/fell out of the tree and a parent bird arrived to feed them, so I suppose they will be okay. Apologies for my poor photography, I did try to photograph the parent feeding its chicks but I was on high zoom and the image was heavily motion blurred.

Thus concludes the story about the baby bird I saw today.

    I was fortunate the bird stayed still for so long, but was cautious not to approach too closely so the photos aren't as good as I'd like. I wish I could get some pictures of the foxes and bats which live around abouts here, but they're too quick for me.

    That's photography for you. It's difficult to make the shot (depending on the subject of it, if there is one), and much more so to make it the perfect shot....

    I find that the photos are actually very good for the fact that they were taken from a further distance and they are of living creatures, especially birds...
