Got a ''job''

Rate this Entry
So as a school project this week we had to find a real ''job'' (work regular hours, recieve no payment, find the job yourself and solve everything yourself). I got myself a job as teacher/sub-teacher at a school 15 minutes away from here.

2nd grade. 6-7 year olds.
And oh boy this class is wrong.

I have been at this job for two days and:
today somebody kissed my ass (literally, came from behind and kissed)
Yesterday some of the youngest in the class (6 years old) were conversing with eachother and they were talking about how they ''had seen men and women on the internet sexing (yes, ''sexing'', as in performing sex) and put the video on youtube'' and how stupid they were.

Wow, working in a school, that'd be hell.

When I was at primary school a few of the high achieving pupils in year 6 (Highest for primary school) were chosen to visit the year 1 group and give them advice and help their development or whatever. I got chosen for the role along with two girls. As soon as we started working in the class, one of the kids kept saying one of the girls was pretty and would generally stalk her around the class like some sexed up whippet looking for a leg to hump. The teacher noticed the attention and would only laugh, so did we.

Another kid came up to me and asked me to tell him naughty words. So I said 'Womble' was a naughty word, a week later everyone in the school were calling each other Wombles... the seeds were planted...

I think each generation becomes more and more perverted.
Some of things I see and hear little children say...I'm like, heck I didn't even know what that was or heard of that when I was little o.0

Wait, your teacher asked you to get a 'real job with no pay'?
Hell, if I were you I'd say to them, 'go get a real job then you lazy assholes'.

That sounds like shit, I'd hate having to teach children of any age, they're all so.. Annoying.

Wow, is that school run by a brain-washing pedophile or something?

This year it's only temporary, but every year the duration you need to work is extended quite alot.

I'm also going to do this for three days, any suggestions where to work? In Norway in Sandefjord or Oslo.

Try out a local school or small store. What I did was to go to the school, ask where I can see the principal or somebody similar, give them some sheets of paper with ink on from my school, and in 2-3 days they called back and told me which teacher I would work with and stuff.

It's a part of education here in Norway. We do it every year, we get three days to work on (We don't have normal school those days, just working)

It allows you to get lots of experience, and if you're good enough, you might get a summer job or something there later.

Schools sounds boring.. Last year, i worked with a programmer (My mum knows here quite well, and she just works at home, she has her own business... But would be better to work somewhere else this year.

We had 3 days last year, 1 week this year and IIRC 2 weeks next year.

But yeah, it is for your own good. Early on you are taught to find a job and get it on your own with no help. I do agree that they throw you into it quite early (I'm 14), but it's an useful experience.
