One of the numbers under my name rolled over to 10,000, so this is a blog to celebrate it.
Other than that I've begun work on a sketchbook for my portfolio, which I'm hoping to complete over summer as a demonstration of my skill if I seek university placements in the new academic year for art.
I'm also going to comment on how frustrating it is that a small test-field of GM crops in the UK, designed to repell pests so that we don't need to use pesticides so much in future, has been vandalised. The vandals are un-known but a group called 'take the flour back' said it wanted to 'decontaminate' the site, despite the scientists asking to reason with them before they took illegal actions.
GM crops are the future; it was modified wheat that averted starvation in south Asia and which could now help developed countries reinstate their biodiversity and carbon sinks [by eliminating pesticides and reducing arable land requirements], which will be an important part of surviving long term on our planet.
