Well, yesterday I was at the Leinster Finals for a maths competition. There was 5 from my school, 2 boys and 3 girls. (and they say boys are better at maths than girls) The sheet we had to answer upon took an hour to do. There were 25 questions, 10 for 5 marks, 10 for 6 marks and 5 for 8 marks. It totalled at 150, I got 106. In third place a guy had 121 points, in second was a girl from my school, she was really annoying after she won. I think she thought she was better than us, she got 132 points, and top had 137 points.
I also bumped into someone I do scouts with, and since scouts is on a friday night, when he saw me he said 'so you're not at scouts either'
We were put up on the school website aswell, which I may or may not link.

What kind of questions was it?
Nice!

I used to participate in maths competitions when I was at school.
106/150 seems like ane xcellent score, nice to hear you did well!
One was.
One third of birds in a cage were blue, 40 of 60 females were blue.
25% of males were blue. How many birds are in the cage?
A) 60 B)120 C)180 D)240 E)300
300.

40 females 60 males.
100/300 = 1/3
Oh you have multiple choice questions... that's cheating, you just have to guess!

(anyway, that's easy, but I've been awake for 23 hours)
That's what I put down.
Another was.
On a given month there was 5saturdays and 5 sundays, but only 4 mondays and 4 fridays.
in the next month there will be?
a) 5 Wednesdays b) 5 Thursdays c) 5 Fridays D) 5 Saturdays e) five sundays

Remember, I'm like half of your age. These questions may not seem hard to you or bisser, but these seemed somewhat hard to me.

Two thirds

And well, I'm talking about the complexity of the solution, not about the knowledge required.
There really isn't any knowledge required for the questions you've shown us, it's just a question of verifying the answers.
