Fn Keys won't work

Normally the FN keys work normally, like this.

FN + F9 = Disable Touch Pad
FN + F10 = Mute Volume
FN + F11 = Turn Down Volume
FN + F12 = Turn Up Volume

But now it doesn't work anymore!
Now I need to manually adjust the volume on the task bar instead of using the FN hotkeys (the adjust brightness hotkeys still work).
I can't tell what the hell went wrong. It suddenly just stopped working.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Try restart laptop.

    Press ctl+f key instead of fn+f key.

    Well, obviously when I post the problem on JV I've tried every option I can think of.
