what do you mean stopped working?
Does it say something like "Hard drive needs to be formated before using it"? Or what is actually not working? Maybe data recovery can help you out! I used GetDataBack and it worked like a charm...

The same thing happened to me, actually - I was backing up my data, but in the middle of the process my computer crashed, and the hard drive went kablooie.

The saddest thing is the most important things - my pictures - still exist, but on my iPod. And you know how evil Apple is, it's close to impossible to get those pictures back from it.

@Nikolaj I don't have an iPod but there's some program called Poddox http://www.poddox.com/ which can

copy iPod data back to a PC or other iPods

I guess you could try the trial version, which I think is only limited in time, not features...

It doesn't do anything.

I got it a few years ago from my cousin who already had it for like 3 or 4 years, this is it:


When I turn it on it makes a starting up sound and then stops after that. and doesn't do anything, my computer says it's not connected.
Then when I wait like 2 or 3 hours it starts making startup sounds every 5 seconds.

And then it stops again. ;-;

have you tried it on a different computer? maybe the usb port is broken...
2 out of 3 on my laptop are

My comp has 12 usb ports, so I'll try a few others.

And also I don't have any porn on it, mostly music and movies.

i think it doesn't really matter what was on it, its annoying in any way
