Because I like Tux. Actually, I have no clue why. Probably just because I started doing that on a blog or two, thought "what the hell," and kept doing it.

No (in fact, nobody can check that, since it's not stored in the database) -- however, I can check the account's ID, which gives an approximate idea about that.
Can moderators check when accounts were created in PR2?
