Yup!
yeah, I think both are quite clever, the first one because of the 17 and the otherone because of 16*27/18, I think.
Would have never thought of the 17 groupings... As for the other, I didn't give it much thought.
2*8+13*3+15=17*11-17*6-15=70 26+11+20-2-6=8+16*27/18+17=49
Also, about the thing you said about additions... if there's no * or /, it's beyond easy to solve.
I give up...
yes there is multiplication I know how I find out if there is multiplication if I have something like that: 7 _ 5 _ 6 _ 2 = 14 then I'd do: 7+5+6+2 = 20 (20-14)/2 = 3.5 then try to find that number by adding some numbers. Obviously won't work for 3.5... if I have: 12 _ 6 _ 3 _ 4 = 5 12+6+3+4=25 (25-5)/2 = 10 = 6+4 => 12 - 6 + 3 - 4 = 5 but how would that work if you don't know the results? and before I forget to mention: this isn't a valid answer 3/2+5/2 although the result is an integer. but I don't think you'll need that anyway xD anyways, I'll read your answer tomorrow, because I am going to bed now c: see you another thing, don't bother with this if you can't be bothered, lol If, however, you enjoy this stuff heres another one, hehe: 26 _ 11 _ 20 _ 2 _ 6 = 8 _ 16 _ 27 _ 18 _ 17 oh, I do need to improve my algorithm... it sometimes takes ages to generate one of these :/
Yup. Division on the left hand is outright impossible, LOL. And I know for a fact there's multiplication, because it's easy to prove there's no answer without it.
theres no division at all the only possibility to use it would be 17*11/17 that's what you meant right?
Try a few things, see where I can get. It's easy to rule out things (like no division on the right hand). Other than that... it's thinking and seeing if you can find it.
