    Charlie Day loves to support local bands at a library.



    The story is that I went to a concert of local bands at my library last night. The guy working there looked a lot like Charlie Day and did a lot of Charlie Work. If you did not know, Charlie Day plays Charlie Kelly in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". Charlie Work is also a reference to the show.

  2. Sports Section

    I now see no use for one since people do not want to keep sports threads active. Then when they do get bumped (for a good reason), they just die with that last post. I also do not see some people who petitioned very hard for this idea, but never followed through.

  3. This Kid

    At track I asked a senior if they played the song "Forever Young" at his prom, since senior prom was last Thursday. This kid chimes in, "Oh yeah, that is a great song by Jay-Z." I was disappointed. I then listened to the song later and it started off okay, but when Jay-Z started singing, I was in utter disgust. H talks about looking at attractive women with those "Pretty a**es all up on the hood," getting high, and drinking. Yeah... Also, the original version ...

  4. Track Update

    The team is now heading into the postseason. Our first meet is Saturday and we have two other non-invitational meets left. After those there are invitational meets for exceptional runners. If I remember, the biggest meet for the team is on the 24th and that is the State Sectional. The good thing is that we somehow have largest roster in the section that we are placed in. So, more people for more events. My events will probably be the 1600m and 800m.

  5. Celtic F.C. vs Boston Celtics

    In my Western Civilization class today we reviewed this worksheet on rivers. One question asked "Which river flows into the Celtic Sea" or something like that. Someone answered and pronounced Celtic as "Sell Tick" (correct pronunciation is "Kel Tick"). The teacher corrected him and I say "But there is a football team named Celtic (in that pronunciation)." Then another kid blurts out, "What are you talking about? They are a basketball team!" ...
