We established it was a sharp rock. Luckily not sharp, rusted metal. We put some medical "ointment" (For lack of the brand-specific name) on there to assist. It just looks ugly because it's a cut, all cuts (as a generalisation) make the area look ugly..

It seems like a good thing to do, so I will be taking the job, convieniently it doesn't really cut into my time, only writing speeches and saying those speeches (And other nifty stuff).
